This page explains how Snout Swap handles payment processing, refunds, and disputes for marketplace transactions.
1. Payment Processing
- All transactions are processed by integrated payment gateway partners.
- Snout Swap does not act as a bank or trustee.
- Snout Swap does not currently operate escrow or platform-held deposit services.
- Settlement timelines follow payment partner and merchant setup rules.
2. Refunds
Refund outcomes depend on transaction type and evidence provided:
- Sales: handled according to listing terms, seller-buyer agreement, and dispute review outcome.
- Rentals/Services: handled according to provider cancellation policy, actual service/item status, and support review.
- Where approved, refunds are initiated via the original payment method and typically settle within 7–14 business days (gateway dependent).
3. Disputes & Chargebacks
- Raise a support ticket within 48 hours of the issue where possible.
- Support may request chat logs, photos, invoices, and booking details.
- Chargebacks are governed by payment partner rules and may affect account status.
4. No Deposit / Escrow
Snout Swap currently does not hold user deposits or escrow funds. If that changes, this page and related policies will be updated before rollout.
5. Optional Protection (Upcoming)
Optional damage or protection coverage may be offered in future checkout flows. Pricing and terms will be displayed at launch.
